INCOMING SWISS AMBASSADOR VISITS STAMM

Her Excellency, Mme Andrea Reichlin, incoming Ambassador of Switzerland visited STAMM offices on

Monday, 5^th October 2015. With her charming approach she won the heart of all, addressed all employees personally and took time to discuss business in the Philippines with Management.

Andrea Reichlin studied philosophy and economics at the universities of Fribourg (Switzerland) and Heidelberg (Germany). She post-graduated from the Institut Universitairede Hautes Etudes Internationales (IUHEI), Geneva and l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Paris.

In 1988, she joined the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs with an internship at the UNmission in Geneva and the Swiss Embassy in Paris. Back to the Foreign Ministry HQ in Bern in 1990, she was assigned to the Communication Department and to the Directorate of International Public Law.

From 1993-95 she was sent by the Ministry to the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in Paris before being transferred to the Hague/Netherlands as Deputy Head of the Embassy and from 1999-2003 she joined the Swiss Embassy in Paris, where she was in charge of economic, financial and European affairs.

As of 2003 the Swiss government appointed her as Head of Mission in el-Khartoum/Sudan. In 2007 she became Ambassador in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and in July 2012, Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.

We welcome our new Ambassador to the  Philippines and are thankful to have such a competent representative of Switzerland with us.
